Customizing Your Template File

To further customize the layout and look of your web site, you may want to change the layout of your template, adding new images and icons, adding hyperlinks to other pages, etc.. CFMMaker comes with a fully customizable template file so that you can build a template of your own.

The steps to create your own template file are as follows:

  1. Extract the supplied template file to a temporary folder by using any archiving software

  2. Edit the html templates of the web site using a html editor.

It is important to note that since CFMMaker relies on different tags inside the templates to generate the correct codes, you should use a html editor that will not unexpectedly alter or delete the tags. Otherwise incorrect result may occur.

  3. Copy the desired images of your choice to the "images" folder if you have modified or added new images.

  4. Zip the complete folder to a new template file archive with any name of your choice upon completion.

  5. Select the newly created template file in the [Template File] box during the CFMMaker generation process.
