A. This is an ActiveX error. Check the System Requirements section and download the recommended files.

A. This is an ActiveX error. Check the System Requirements section and download the recommended files.

Q.Could not load DLL library during installation
A. 1. Login as Administrator to install.
2. Disable any anti-virus or other security software that might block loading a DLL. (You can re-enable after installation.)
3. Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only. See this article for details.

A. Yes, ASP.NET Report Maker supports both C# and VB.NET.

A. No. ASP.NET Report Maker scripts require ASP.NET 2.0 or later. Use Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer 2005 or later instead.

Q.Can ASP.NET Report Maker scripts be editable with Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer 2005 or later?
A. Yes, just click [File] -> [Open Web Site...] in Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer 2005 or later, then select your application root.

Q.Can I use template for previous version of ASP.NET Report Maker with the latest version of ASP.NET Report Maker? Or vice versa?
A. No. Each template is written for the corresponding version of ASP.NET Report Maker. It is not compatible with older or newer versions of ASP.NET Report Maker.

Q.What is the difference between ASP Report Maker and ASP.NET Report Maker?
A. Feature-wise the two products are similar but they are for different technologies - ASP and ASP.NET. ASP is much easier to learn and code while ASP.NET is more complicated to code but much more powerful. You can google for "ASP vs. ASP.NET" and will get a comprehensive list of comparison of the two technologies.

Q.HTTP 500 - Internal server error
A. The HTTP 500 error is a generic error message that Internet Explorer passes out to you when your web site errors for one reason or another. To enable Internet Explorer to show the error, select Internet Options from the Tools menu at the top of Internet Explorer, select the Advanced tab, uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error messages" checkbox. Then run your script again to see a more useful error message.
